On Thursday night, Israel bombed the tents of displaced people in West Rafah, the southernmost city of Gaza. About 11 Palestinians were killed in the attack. At the same time, more than 40 others were injured. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
According to news agency Xinhua, Palestinian security and medical sources reported the Israeli bombardment on Friday. Security sources said that Israeli tanks fired shells and bullets on tents in the Al-Mawasi area, causing panic among the displaced people living in the tents. Due to panic, the displaced people left their tents and fled towards the areas southwest of Khan Younis.

Tell al-Mawasi is a sandy area on the seacoast. It stretches from southwest of the city of Deir al-Balah in the center of the Gaza Strip to the middle of western Khan Yunis and west of Rafah. The area lacks infrastructure, sewage networks, power lines, communication networks and the Internet, making living conditions difficult for displaced persons living there.
