Israel lebanon war: Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Lebanon, Hezbollah has claimed that it has launched a missile attack on Tel Aviv. In its statement, the Iran-backed group said that it had attacked the Nirit area located in the Israeli capital with missiles. In a post on Telegram, the Lebanese group said they carried out the latest attack in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and in support of the defense of the Lebanese people. Hezbollah’s statement came after a video verified by Al Jazeera’s Sanad agency.
According to Reuters report, sirens rang all around Tel Aviv during the airstrike. At present there is no report of anyone being injured in the attack. Citing Israeli media reports, Al Jazeera reported that all air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport has been stopped after the air strikes by Hezbollah and the Israeli military has declared a state of emergency in the Tel Aviv area.
The Israeli army has confirmed that Hezbollah has fired at least 20 rockets towards Tel Aviv. The video of the rocket flying in the sky is also becoming increasingly viral on social media.
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the missile attack, stating the target was the headquarters of Israel’s Unit 8200 in Tel Aviv.
