Israel–Hamas War : Houthi rebels have attacked Israel’s Haifa Port through drones. This is the same port for which Indian industrialist Gautam Adani has signed an agreement to operate. According to a report by news agency Reuters, Haifa Port is one of Israel’s most important ports, about 99 percent of the goods from here come and go by sea.

Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Iran-backed Houthi fighters, spoke about the port attack in a TV statement on Wednesday. He said that a Portuguese-flagged container ship was targeted. However, Israel has denied this attack by Houthi rebels.

The Israeli army spokesman said that no such incident has been reported. He said that no sign of anything unusual has been found at Haifa Port. Let us tell you that Houthi rebels have started attacking since November last year in protest against the attack on Gaza.

4 ships were targeted
Earlier on Sunday, there were reports of a similar attack. Yemen’s Houthi rebels said in the early hours of Sunday that they had carried out a joint military operation in which 4 ships were targeted at Israel’s northern Haifa port.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sari said that both groups had attacked 2 cement tankers and 2 cargo ships at Haifa port with drones on Saturday. At the same time, the Israeli army has not yet commented. However, Israel had denied such claims of Houthi rebels earlier in the month.
