IPL 2024 Qualifier 1: Starc spoiled SRH’s form, took 3 wickets in powerplay, Travis Head clean bowled, see VIDEO

New Delhi. Mitchell Starc is a big match player and there is no need to worry about his form. This was said by Sandeep Patil during the World Cup 2023, which proved to be 100 percent true then. Australian pacer Mitchell Starc once again showed why he is a big match player. This most expensive player of IPL gave his best performance when his team KKR needed it. In the first qualifier of IPL, he spoiled the condition of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the powerplay itself. The SRH team, which is known for scoring runs in the powerplay, had 4 veterans back in the pavilion within the sixth over.

The first qualifier of IPL 2024 was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first. But the first attack on this decision of Australia’s Cummins was made by compatriot Starc. Mitchell Starc shook Sunrisers Hyderabad by taking 3 wickets in the powerplay.

Left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc did not even allow Sunrisers’ stormy opener Travis Head to open his account. He clean bowled Australia’s Travis Head on the second ball of the first over. This ball of Starc was of yorker length, which also swung. Travis Head fired the bat, but the ball went straight to the stumps.
