An inquest has been opened into the death of a four-month-old baby in Wales.

Kali Creed Green died in the village of Clynderwen in Pembrokeshire on 18 October.

A 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of child neglect earlier this month. They have both since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

An inquest into Kali’s death was opened by Gareth Lewis, the assistant coroner for Pembrokeshire, on Wednesday.

Coroner’s officer PC Carrie Sheridan said the results of the post-mortem were unknown at this time.

“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services at the scene, life was pronounced extinct by the paramedics in attendance,” she added.

Mr Lewis adjourned the inquest while investigations take place.

He extended his sympathy to Kali’s family and said the next hearing would provisionally take place on 11 April next year.
