Two children have died in Shri Yugpurush Dham located in Malharganj, Indore. It is being told that the children have got blood infection. 12 children have been admitted, out of which 10 are serious. On Tuesday morning, all the children have been sent from MY Hospital to Chacha Nehru Hospital.

Karan and Akash lost their lives in the incident. 12-year-old Karan was a resident of Sonkachh in Dewas district. He was brought to the ashram 15 months ago through Child Line. Whereas, 7-year-old Akash, a resident of Narmadapuram district, was handed over to the ashram by Child Line three months ago. According to Malharganj Police, 12-year-old Karan’s health deteriorated on Monday and he died, after which 7-year-old Akash died on Tuesday morning. The ashram’s servants say that Krishna was the first to get an infection in the ashram but he recovered. After this, the condition of other children started deteriorating but they could not recover.

Children from many districts of Madhya Pradesh study here. They were brought from different districts and handed over to the ashram. The ashram started in 2006 with 78 disabled children. Currently there are 217 mentally disabled children (101 boys and 116 girls) here.

The collector said that the situation will become clear only after investigation

According to Collector Ashish Singh, two children have died. One death is suspected to be due to diarrhea or dehydration and the other child’s death is known to be due to a disease like a fit. The situation will be completely clear only after investigation.

The girls who came in childhood now take care of other children when they grow up

Mentally challenged children are kept at the Shri Yugpurush Dham Ashram situated on Panchkuiya Road in Indore. Children from different districts are handed over here through Child Line or other means. In the government records, the name of the mother of all the children is written as Dr. Anita Sharma. Out of the children who came 10-15 years ago, 18 daughters are taking responsibility of one child each. This ashram is being run under the guidance of Yugpurush Swami Parmanandgiri Maharaj. Everyone’s mother’s name is written as Principal Anita and in place of father’s name, the name of the secretary of the ashram, Tulsi Shadija is written. All the children’s surname is Parmanand after Swamiji’s name.
