After discussions on the Indore Metro route, three options have emerged, in which the metro can be run underground from Bengali Square instead of near the High Court intersection, secondly, it can be run underground from the Agriculture College or the third option is that the metro will pass through Race Course Road instead of MG Road.

However, technical experts will conduct a survey on these three suggestions. Before making the part of the metro project from Palasia to MG Road underground, the team of experts will examine the three major suggestions in the survey and present a feasibility report in this regard. A decision will be taken after studying the report.
This decision was taken on Monday by Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya in a meeting of all departments regarding the development of the metro. Officers of the Metro project, police, administration, IMC, IDA, PWD, BSF, forest department officials, all public representatives, representatives of social organizations and others were present in the meeting.

Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that many complaints are coming from the public regarding the metro project. Both the public representatives and the public are unhappy with the current plan. The entire plan for the metro has been made and 30-40 percent of the work has been completed.
The special case is of MG Road. Three options have come up for this. The first is that the metro route should be made underground from Bengali Square. At present, there is a plan to build it near AB Road. The second suggestion is that it should be made underground from Agriculture College instead of Bengali Square. Studies are also going on on this. The third suggestion is of Race Course Road instead of MG Road. Technical experts will conduct a survey on these three suggestions.
Vijayvargiya said that many decisions have already been taken in Indore and Delhi regarding the metro. This is a matter of the city’s interest. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan was also present in the meeting. She raised this issue seriously in the meeting. Her point was supported by public representatives, MLAs, mayor and social organizations.
