Indore House and Water Tax Exemption News: Due to server problems in Indore, the limit of discount in property tax and water tax has been increased. People will now be able to avail discount by paying advance amount of property tax and water tax till 31st July. Actually, the Municipal Corporation in Indore has talked about giving discount in advance tax to encourage people to pay advance tax. This tax discount is given every year which people get on depositing advance tax.
In Indore, the Municipal Corporation is short of revenue collection and collecting the tax completely proves to be a tough job for the Municipal Corporation. In such a situation, this time the limit for exemption in advance tax was kept till 30 June but now it has been extended to 31 July. That means now people will be able to deposit the advance tax by going to the counter till 31 July. On depositing the advance tax, one also gets the benefit of advance discount of 6.25% in property tax and 6% in water tax.
Cash counters will remain open on Sundays too
For the convenience of taxpayers paying advance property tax and water tax for the financial year 2024-25, all the zonal offices of the city and the cash counters of the headquarters will remain open on Sunday from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm. Additional Commissioner Abhilash Mishra said that taxpayers can deposit their property tax, water consumer charge (water tax) and garbage collection fee in the respective zonal office and corporation headquarters office.
6% discount on water tax
On payment of advance tax amount of the current financial year, the benefit of advance discount of 6.25 percent in property tax and 6 percent in water tax is being provided. Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava has appealed to the citizens of the city to cooperate in the development of the city by paying their property tax and water tax and availing the benefit of advance discount.
