Indore News Today: More than 132 cases of dengue have been reported in Indore city so far this year. Apart from this, a record 50 cases have been reported in the month of July. Concerned by the increasing cases, the health department has issued an advisory to prevent it.

On Tuesday (16 July), nine cases of dengue were reported in Indore. With the onset of monsoon, deadly vector-borne diseases are increasing in the city. Dengue is becoming the most common among them.

11 children are also suffering from dengue
Out of the total 132 cases this year, 9 patients have been affected by dengue in the last two days. Out of the 9 new cases, seven patients are men and two are women, apart from this one of them is a child.

As far as dengue cases are concerned, out of the 132 cases, 72 men and 60 women are suffering from this disease. Out of these, 11 are children. More cases of dengue may emerge in the coming days.

Caution is effective in prevention
Dengue mosquitoes breed in clean water. It mainly depends on people to prevent waterlogging and wear full-sleeved clothes to avoid the disease. Currently, there are 12 active cases in the city and all are undergoing treatment at home.

An advisory regarding dengue was issued by the district health department at the beginning of the monsoon season. In this advisory, it was said that caution is the most effective way to deal with dengue.

There is a risk of getting dengue during pregnancy
According to health experts, if a woman gets infected with dengue during pregnancy, then it also affects the growth of the baby in the womb.

If a mother has dengue, the baby growing in her womb may face a low birth rate. Apart from this, if a child has dengue, the risk of hemorrhage i.e. bleeding in the brain also increases.

If the mother has dengue, there is a possibility of premature delivery of the baby. Apart from this, if dengue worsens, there is also a risk of abortion in the first trimester.

Let us tell you, if the mother has dengue, the risk of vertical transmission like fluctuate in the child also increases significantly. Considering the severity of dengue, prevention and control is the most effective treatment.
