Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi the leader of remarkable changes in India. In a letter issued by Singapore’s Foreign Ministry, PM Wong writes, I am confident that PM Modi, under your leadership, India will prosper and develop rapidly.

Referring to the multifaceted and cordial relations between India and Singapore, he wrote, “Next year is the 60th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. On this occasion, we will expand our partnership and expand cooperation in new areas like digitalization, skill development and health care.” Wong became the Prime Minister of Singapore only last month. He took over the power from Lee Hsien Loong, who is considered one of Narendra Modi’s close friends.
