India got a new opening pair, Rohit Sharma did not even take the name during the toss, made a big revelation like this

New Delhi. During the T20 World Cup match against Ireland, a new opening pair of India will come to bat on the field. Not Yashasvi Jaiswal but Virat Kohli will come to open with Rohit Sharma. The special thing is that Hitman did not even take Virat’s name during the presentation at the time of toss. Still he revealed the new opening pair. Actually, Rohit Sharma just said that Yashasvi Jaiswal is not part of the playing eleven. The way Virat Kohli has opened for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL, it is clear that the pair of Rohit and Virat will open for India in the World Cup.

During the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked Ireland to bat first. Hitman said that he is not very familiar with the pitch of this ground in New York. Rohit said, ‘We are going to bowl. Our preparations for the World Cup have been fine. We are handling ourselves in these new conditions. It has been challenging, but we are all professionals. We have played on the same pitch and know what to expect. I know it will be a little different from what we are used to. But the game is like that. I am not too sure about the conditions, so I thought it would be good to have a target in front of us.’

Who will open with Rohit?
When Hitman was asked about India’s playing XI, he said, ‘Kuldeep, Sanju, Jaiswal and another player whose name I am not remembering are out. At present, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal were being seen as India’s opening pair, but by not giving Jaiswal a place in the playing-11, it became clear that Virat Kohli will open with Hitman. Till now Virat has been playing at number-3 in Team India. In IPL 2024, Virat has performed brilliantly for Royal Challengers Bangalore while playing in the opening.
