India France Deal: The friendship between India and France is now becoming deeper. France says that it wishes to establish its first defense electronics unit in India. This indication has been given to Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval by the French defense group Safran Group. People related to this matter say that this is a sign of further strengthening of strategic relations between India and France.

According to Hindustan Times report, two-day strategic talks were held between India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Emmanuel Bonne (diplomatic advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron) and France’s Chief Military Advisor Fabien Mandon. In this conversation, France has agreed to work with India on advanced materials and metallurgy.

Revealed during discussion

He says that to absorb technology, it is very important for the Indian industry to have knowledge on metallurgy for forging and casting of important parts of aircraft engines. During this, Safran Group of France informed about its plan to establish defense electronics facility in India. Under this, necessary sensors and special electronics parts will be made to support military platforms. However, the company has not yet decided which place it will be.

India will cooperate in these areas

French aircraft maker Dissolved Aviation SA has already acquired land for a full maintenance and repair facility in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh to operate Rafale fighter jets and civil aircraft. Along with this, France has also decided to develop unmanned sub-surface, surface and aerial systems or underwater drones for submarines in collaboration with India. Not only submarines, it will also support India in developing counter swarm drones and armed drone technology.
