India enters semi-finals with a big win, Richa’s record-breaking innings against UAE, Harman’s strong fifty

New Delhi. The Indian women’s team confirmed its place in the Asia Cup semi-finals with its second consecutive win. After defeating Pakistan, India registered a huge 78-run win against UAE. Batting first, India scored a mammoth 201 runs for 5 wickets against UAE on the basis of Richa Ghosh’s stormy fifty and Harmanpreet Kaur’s captaincy innings. Chasing the target, UAE could only score 123 runs for 7 wickets.

In the Women’s Asia Cup, India confirmed its place in the semi-finals with a big win against UAE on Sunday. After losing the toss, captain Harmanpreet Kaur came in to bat first and scored a brilliant half-century in a difficult situation. After this, Richa Ghosh’s explosive innings took the team to 201 runs. Smriti Mandhana could score only 13 runs in this match while Shefali Verma contributed 37 runs. After the fall of 3 wickets, captain Harmanpreet played an innings of 66 runs in 47 balls.
