raised the matter with Russian authorities

An official of the Ministry of External Affairs said, our embassy has pressed the Russian authorities, including the Ministry of Defence, to bring back the bodies at the earliest. According to reports, many Indians are working as security assistants in the Russian army and were forced to fight alongside Russian troops in some areas of Russia’s border with Ukraine. The Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Moscow have strongly raised the matter with the Russian Ambassador in New Delhi and the Russian authorities in Moscow for the early release and return of all Indian citizens involved in the Russian army. India has also demanded that any further recruitment of our citizens by the Russian army be stopped. Such activities would not be in line with our partnership. At the same time, the Ministry of External Affairs has also urged Indian citizens to exercise caution while seeking employment opportunities in Russia.

Let us tell you that on the orders of President Vladimir Putin, Russian troops started a large-scale attack on Ukraine on 24 February 2022. However, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was much weaker than the Russian military power, did not give up. Ukrainian soldiers also gave a befitting reply to Russia. Two years have passed since the Russia-Ukraine war. Millions of people have lost their lives in this war. However, even after two years, this war does not seem to stop.
