India-Canada T20 World Cup match cancelled, Sunil Gavaskar furious, reprimanded ICC, said- why was the match held at such a place

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has secured a place in the ICC T20 World Cup Super 8 by registering three consecutive wins. In the last league match, Team India had to play against Canada but the match was washed out due to rain. Rohit Sharma’s team wanted to enter the next round with their fourth consecutive win but the match was cancelled without a single ball being bowled. Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar got angry at the ICC when the match between India and Canada was cancelled due to rain.

This time in ICC T20 World Cup, many matches have been spoilt due to rain. Indian team has been placed in Group A along with arch rival Pakistan, host USA, Ireland and Canada. This group was hit by rain. Two matches had to be cancelled due to rain. Pakistan is the only team whose none of the matches were affected by rain. The match between USA and Ireland could not be played due to rain. The match between India and Canada also had to be cancelled due to this reason.
