New Delhi. In the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024, Team India defeated England by 68 runs. With this, the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma has confirmed its place in the final of the World Cup. India’s title match will now be with South Africa on June 29. India and South Africa have reached the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 by winning all their matches. Now it remains to be seen whether the Indian team is able to win the T20 World Cup title for the second time or South Africa manages to win an ICC trophy for the first time.

With today’s win, Rohit Sharma and company have also avenged their defeat against England in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. Talking about today’s match, India batted first and scored 171 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Rohit Sharma scored a half-century. However, Suryakumar Yadav missed his fifty. While chasing the target, the England team could not face the Indian spinners in these difficult conditions. With three wickets each from Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav and two wickets from Jasprit Bumrah, England did not pose any challenge and surrendered in the first 10 overs.

India did not have a very good start. Virat Kohli was out after scoring 9 runs. Then soon wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant was also caught out. After this, captain Rohit Sharma took the responsibility of scoring runs along with Suryakumar Yadav. Both of them together added 73 runs for the third wicket. After playing an innings of 57 runs in 39 balls, Hitman was bowled by Adil Rashid in the 14th over. Soon Suryakumar Yadav was also out on the ball of Jofra Archer after scoring 47 runs in 36 balls.

Hardik-Jaddu also hit runs…
From here onwards Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja took the responsibility of scoring runs. Hardik scored 23 runs in 13 balls. Jadeja also scored unbeaten 17 runs in 9 balls. In the end, Akshar Patel also played an innings of 10 runs in six balls, on the basis of which India took the score to 171/7. Chris Jordan took the maximum of three wickets.
