IND vs ZIM: India beat Zimbabwe in the fifth T20, Samson-Mukesh shined, won the series 4-1

New Delhi. The last i.e. fifth T20 match between India and Zimbabwe was played in Harare on 14th July. In this match, the Indian team registered a brilliant victory. Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the Indian team scored 167 runs in 20 overs. Zimbabwe needed 168 runs to win. But they could score only 125 runs. India won the series 4-1.

When Team India came out to bat first, Indian team opener Yashasvi Jaiswal started with 2 brilliant sixes against Zimbabwe but lost his wicket after that. Captain Sikandar Raza sent him back after clean bowling him. Shubman Gill, who came with him, could not stay on the crease for long. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza caught his catch on 13 runs and gave him a return ticket. Abhishek Sharma also could not do anything amazing. He was out after scoring 14 runs off 11 balls.

Sanju Samson took charge of the innings
When Team India’s score was 3 wickets for 40 runs, then Sanju Samson came to bat. Initially, he played a slow innings while handling the innings. But later he reached half-century with the help of fours and sixes. Sanju played an innings of 58 runs in 45 balls in this match. In his innings, he also hit 4 sixes and 1 four. Apart from Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag scored 22, Shivam Dubey scored 26, Rinku Singh scored 11 and Washington Sundar scored 1 run. In this way, India’s score reached 166 runs in 20 overs. His wicket was taken by Mukesh Kumar. Apart from this, Washington Sundar dismissed Tadivanashe Marumani for 27 runs and sent him to the pavilion. Dion Myers was batting well but he was out after scoring 34 runs. In his innings, he hit 4 fours and 1 six. Apart from this, Sikandar Raza scored 8, Jonathan Campbell scored 4, Clive Madande scored 1 run.

Mukesh Kumar took 4 wickets

Mukesh Kumar bowled brilliantly for India and took 4 wickets. He also took the wickets of Slay Madhevere, Brian Bennett, Faraz Akram and Richard Garawa. In his 4 over spell, he took a total of 3 wickets for 22 runs. His economy was 6.3. Apart from Mukesh, Shivam Dubey took 2 wickets, Abhishek Sharma, Washington Sundar and Tushar Deshpande took 1 wicket each.
