Didn’t keep wicket after getting out for 99 runs
Rishabh Pant played such an inning in the second innings of the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand which helped Team India out of trouble in the match. His 177-run partnership with Sarfaraz Khan for the fourth wicket turned the match. India scored 462 runs in the second innings and gave New Zealand a target of 107 runs. Rishabh Pant was seen in trouble several times while hitting shots before being out on 99 runs.
He suffered a knee injury while keeping wickets in the first innings. Even while batting, he took a medical break and called the physio on the field. For this reason, when the Indian team came to bowl on the fourth day in the second innings, Rishabh Pant did not come to do wicketkeeping.
