There is an atmosphere of happiness in the entire country after India’s spectacular victory over New Zealand in the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup. Cricket fans are celebrating India’s victory with fireworks. At many places across the country, fans took to the streets and celebrated Team India’s victory with dance. It seems as if the happiness of Diwali has returned again.
India has secured a place in the World Cup final by defeating New Zealand by 70 runs in the semi-final match played on Wednesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. With this victory, Team India also avenged its defeat against New Zealand in the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup. The Indian team has reached the final of the tournament after 12 years. Last time in 2011, Team India made it to the title match on home ground. The team under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni became champion.
After India’s victory, fans in Bihar’s capital Patna burst fireworks and expressed happiness. Fireworks continued for hours in entire Bihar including Patna in the name of Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami. Similarly, in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, fans celebrated Team India’s victory with the tricolor in their hands and raised slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ along with bursting crackers.

Atmosphere of happiness in Shami’s home district
An atmosphere of happiness was also seen in Amroha, the home district of Team India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami. Expressing happiness over India’s victory, Shami’s family member said that we are very happy with India’s victory in the semi-finals. India will also win the World Cup. We will win in the final. Congratulations to the Indian team, BCCI and all the cricket fans in the country.

Cricket fans immersed in celebration
Celebrated Team India’s victory in the World Cup semi-finals at Rama Krishna Beach in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Cricket fans in Pune, Maharashtra were seen immersed in the celebration of Team India’s victory. Fans burst crackers and danced at Good Luck Chowk in the city.

On India’s victory in the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup, BCCI President Roger Binny said that the team has performed tremendously. We have won all the matches with good performance. Team India has played really good cricket. Now we are waiting for the final. We definitely have a good chance of winning the final.
India reached the World Cup final for the fourth time
India has reached the World Cup final for the fourth time. In 1983, under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, the title was won for the first time by defeating West Indies. Had to face defeat in the final against Australia in 2003. Sourav Ganguly was the captain then. Eight years later, in 2011, when India reached the finals, it defeated Sri Lanka and won the title for the second time.
