New Delhi. The first finalist team of the ICC T20 World Cup has been decided. South Africa washed away all its past stains and registered a spectacular win against Afghanistan to reach the final of an ICC event for the first time. Aiden Markram has become the first captain in South African cricket history to get the team a ticket to the final.
After winning the toss and batting first, the Afghan team was bowled out for just 56 runs in 11.5 overs by the Proteas bowlers. South Africa achieved this small target in 8.5 overs for the loss of 1 wicket and created history. Which team will be the second team in the final against them will be decided by the second semi-final between India and England.
