There has been a significant increase in mob attacks in West Bengal. Amidst all this, a video clip of mob lynching also surfaced on Tuesday, in which people are allegedly seen attacking a boy and his mother in Ariadaha in North 24 Parganas district.

The accused is said to be close to TMC

Meanwhile, an official said that the police have arrested a total of six people in connection with the incident that took place on Sunday night. The main accused in this case, who is believed to be close to the ruling Trinamool Congress, is currently absconding. The police officer said that the reason behind the attack is being investigated.

There was a dispute after an argument

Let us tell you that the authenticity of the video that surfaced in the case is not being confirmed, in which a group of people are seen beating the boy and his mother with sticks. The police officer said in the case that the video footage clearly shows that there was an altercation between the college student and a man, which soon turned into a fight. Soon after, some other people also joined the man and started attacking the child. During this, they also beat up the boy’s mother. At present, both the injured have been admitted to the hospital.

Four people killed in mob lynching in a week

According to the information, this incident happened a few days after a video of a TMC leader beating a couple in public in Chopra of North Dinajpur district went viral, which has caused a lot of anger in the area. Recently, four people were beaten to death in different incidents within a week in many areas of West Bengal including Kolkata. The last incident in this took place on June 30.
