ICC has released the first ODI rankings after the conclusion of the World Cup. Indian players got tremendous benefit in this. Three batsmen of Team India are included in the top four. India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli has come close to reaching the top. At the same time, Rohit Sharma has strengthened his position at fourth position. Team India’s opener Shubhman Gill is on the first place and Pakistan’s batsman Babar Azam is on the second place. Whereas, Kohli is on third place.

Kohli had scored 765 runs in the World Cup. Due to this he gained one place. He is now just 35 rating points behind top-ranked Shubman. Gill has 826 rating points. He has a slight edge over Babar Azam. The former Pakistan captain has 824 rating points in his account. Kohli has 791 and Rohit Sharma has 769 rating points. Kohli scored three centuries in the World Cup. He also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most centuries of 49 in ODIs. At the same time, Rohit Sharma scored 597 runs for the team in the tournament. Shubman Gill scored 354 runs and Babar Azam scored 320 runs. Pakistan team could not even reach the semi-finals.
