Pune IAS Pooja Khedkar News: Dilip Khedkar, father of controversial Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainee officer Pooja Khedkar, was on Friday granted anticipatory bail by a Pune sessions court in a case related to threatening farmers with a gun in a land dispute.
In which case was the arrest made?
Khedkar’s mother Manorama Khedkar has been arrested in this case. Actually a video was made public in which Manorama Khedkar was seen brandishing a gun during the argument, after which a case was registered.
Advocate Sudhir Shah said that the court has said in its order that the charge of attempted murder is on Manorama Khedkar and not on Dilip Khedkar. He said that the offences against Dilip Khedkar are of bailable nature.
The advocate said that Additional Sessions Judge A N Mare granted bail on the condition that Dilip Khedkar will not contact the witnesses in the case, will not try to influence them and will cooperate with the investigating agency.
The Pune police has sent a report to the Maharashtra government about the marital status of controversial trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar’s parents, a police official said on Friday. The couple Dilip and Manorama Khedkar are “legally separated”, the police official told PTI.
He did not give any further information about this. In fact, the Center had instructed the Pune Police to inform it about the marital status of the parents of the controversial Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainee officer Pooja Khedkar. The Center gave this instruction after allegations were made against Pooja, in which it was said that she wrongly took advantage of Other Backward Classes (OBC) non!! ‘creamy layer’ in the UPSC examination by claiming that her parents were separated.
“We have sent the report to the state government on Wednesday and it will be further sent to the Centre,” the official said. Khedkar has been accused of misusing power and privileges by demanding facilities and allowances to which she was not entitled during her training at the district collectorate in Pune in Maharashtra.
