Now all the matches of India are to be held in West Indies. The team will play against Afghanistan on June 20. Then India has matches against Bangladesh and Australia.

New Delhi. Now India faces the challenge of Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup. Both the neighbouring countries will face each other on the pitch of Barbados. Team India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav says that his team is already familiar with the ground of Barbados. He believes that they will not have much difficulty in facing the challenge of spin against Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Suryakumar Yadav played an unbeaten innings of 50 runs in 49 balls during the match against USA. His strike rate in T20 International was 168.06. In such a situation, this innings does not match his batting style at all. On this slow pitch, Surya played a match-winning innings and ensured India’s victory by 7 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav said, “I have been the number one batsman in the world for the last two years. So in such a situation, I should know how to bat according to different situations and how you can change your game according to the needs of the team.”

Surya said, “If you can play like this, I think it shows good batting. If the wicket is difficult, I try to do that. I knew after the power play that it was going to be difficult to score boundaries on that ground with the wind and slow outfield. So after the power play, we had a plan in mind that we would just try to hit the gap and score fast runs.” Suryakumar Yadav said, yes, it was a bit difficult to bat on it, but the situation was different that day. We had to bat till the end, keeping wickets in hand.”

Suryakumar is ready to face the spin challenge of Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The right-handed batsman is in great form and will be a key player for India in the upcoming matches. He said, “This has always been my strong side. I mean, if the wicket is slow, the spinner is bowling or if the wicket is good, it has always been my game. We clearly have plans against Afghanistan. We are fully focused and know our strong sides very well. We think about the opposition but at the same time at the end of the day you should know what your strong sides are and support them.”
