New Delhi. David Warner is worried about the Australian team for the upcoming five-Test series against India. He is afraid of Virat Kohli’s threat and feels that the Indian batsman can give a tough competition to Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. Many former players have not taken Kohli lightly after scoring only 93 runs in six innings against New Zealand.

Warner feels that Kohli can perform at his best in Australia. Warner wrote in his column for Herald Sun, “This is the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Virat likes challenges. He has been the best foreign batsman to play in Australia. There can be no better place than this for him to come out of his poor form and answer his critics.”

‘Don’t make the mistake of provoking Virat Kohli…’ The veteran gave special advice to the Australian team

Warner further wrote, “I am really worried for the Australian cricket team because they can score a lot of runs. Let us tell you that Kohli has scored six centuries in 13 Test matches in Australia at an average of more than 50. Apart from Virat, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan have not batted well recently.

Gill has been ruled out of the first match of the series due to a thumb fracture, while Jaiswal, Sarfaraz and Dhruv Jurel have not played in Australia before. Mohammed Shami is out of the team, while Mohammed Siraj is struggling, due to which Jasprit Bumrah is under pressure. It will be interesting to see which team wins the first test match.
