The FSSAI western region office has suspended the licence of an ice cream company in Pune after a finger was found in an ice cream. A 26-year-old doctor in Malad west had alleged that she found a human finger in an ice cream cone on Wednesday.
FSSAI told ANI, “A team from FSSAI’s Western Region Office has inspected the premises of the ice cream manufacturer and suspended its license.” However, the forensic lab report in the case is yet to come. FSSAI further said that the ice cream manufacturer who delivered the ice cream is located in Indapur, Pune and also has a central license. The FSSAI team has collected samples from the factory premises for further investigation.

A piece of human finger was found inside the ice cream ordered online by a doctor in Malad area of Mumbai. Seeing this, the doctor panicked and reached Malad Police Station. Where he lodged a complaint. The police filed a complaint against the ice cream brand Yummo. After which the police started investigating.
