If the Indian team wins the series against New Zealand by 2-1 or 1-0, then the matter will go wrong. India had last won the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2-1 from Australia. If this happens again, Team India will have to wait for the results of the Sri Lanka and South Africa series. If Australia beats India in the series and India also loses the series to New Zealand, then Sri Lanka will be successful in making it to the finals if it beats South Africa.
