How far can an airplane go without stopping? The question asked, do you have the correct answer?

Airplane is considered the most convenient for long journeys. But have you ever wondered how far an airplane can go without stopping? Which ship in the world can travel the longest distance? An engineer has given this answer on the social media platform Quora, which is very interesting.

Animesh Kumar Sinha, who describes himself as a railway engineer, said that Google only shows the data of commercial airplanes, which is currently in the name of Australia’s Qantas (Queens Land and North Territory Aerial Services). In October 2019, Qantas Airways flew a non-stop flight from New York to Sydney for 19 hours and 16 minutes. The flight, operated by Boeing 797-9 Dreamliner, covered a distance of 16,200 km. There were a total of 49 people on board the plane.

Commercial flight record: 18 hours 45 minutes
But this was not a regular commercial flight. The record for regular commercial flight is 18 hours 45 minutes which is in the name of Singapore Airlines. This flight from Singapore to New York covers a distance of approximately 15,344 kilometers and its flight time is approximately 18 hours 45 minutes. After this comes the Qantas Airways plane. When the plane flies from Perth to London, it covers a long distance of about 14,498 kilometers i.e. 9009 miles. This flight is completed in approximately 17 hours 20 minutes.

World record in its name
But the world record is of a much longer non-commercial flight than these two. Till now the world record for the longest non-stop flight is 32 hours and 9 minutes. It is from Perth in Australia to Koggala Lake in Sri Lanka. The distance between the two cities is 5632 kilometers. This plane runs at a cruising speed of about 113 miles per hour. This Catalina category plane has 2 engines. It is a Royal Australian Air Force plane. Its last flight was from Ceylon to Perth on 17 July 1945.
