Honor 90 5G does not focus on any one specification. The company has tried to fit every specification in the device that people can notice. 6.7 inch AMOLED quad-curved floating display, premium back, 200MP main rear camera, 50MP front camera are the highlights of this smartphone.
As soon as you unbox the phone, its design catches your attention. The back of the phone is made of glass and polycarbonate frame. Honor has called this back design as dual-ring camera system design. All the rear sensors are fitted in two separate ring-like camera bumps. There is a glossy trim around the bump. The remaining part has dotted patterns that shine in the light. Because of these, the phone grips the hand and does not slip. These dotted patterns protect the phone from fingerprints to a great extent. Honor’s branding is highlighted at the bottom.
The frame of Honor 90 5G is glossy and green in color. The power button and volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. There is a SIM tray, Type-C port and single speaker grill at the bottom. The display impressed me. It was crisp and vivid. Colours also appeared punchy. More importantly, I did not feel any eye fatigue even after using the phone for a few hours. Colours on the display looked good both indoors and outdoors. I did not have any difficulty reading content in bright sunlight.
Talking about some other technical aspects, the display of Honor 90 5G is TUV Rheinland certified. It has also received the tag of First Quality Display with DXO Gold Label.
Honor 90 5G has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE processor. In this configuration, the phone handled social media browsing, content streaming and a little bit of gaming quite well. We will put this smartphone through all our tests in the coming days. To prevent the phone from getting too hot during heavy use, graphite sheet and AI based thermal management system have been used in it.
