Himachal Pradesh Politics: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Monday offered obeisance at Bhureshwar Mahadev temple under Pachhad assembly constituency and also inaugurated the fair. He also inaugurated the idol of Lord Shiva in the temple premises for the devotees. During this, while addressing the public meeting, he also targeted the former BJP government.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said, ‘The previous BJP government issued notifications of new schools for electoral gains without any budget provision. Nothing was done in the name of facilities in these. Due to the policies of the previous government, Himachal Pradesh reached 21st position in the country in terms of qualitative education. The Congress government is taking corrective steps in every field. The obstacles coming in this are being overcome with public cooperation.

Congress government approved posts of six thousand teachers

Addressing a public meeting in Pachhad assembly constituency, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government is bringing major changes in the fields of education and health. Its changes are also coming to the fore. He said that the Congress government has sanctioned posts of six thousand teachers.

Three thousand teachers have been appointed batchwise and the recruitment process for three thousand posts is going on. He said that instead of opening new institutions, the Congress government is giving priority to providing infrastructure and staff in the already opened institutions, so that children can be given better and qualitative education in government schools.

Reiterated resolve to become number one state by 2032

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government has resolved to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant by changing the system. The state government is working to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant by the year 2027 and the most prosperous state by the year 2032.

Many meaningful steps are being taken to strengthen the rural economy. The Chief Minister said that wheat and maize grown through natural farming are being purchased at the price of Rs 40 and Rs 30 per kg. The minimum support price of cow milk has been increased from Rs 32 to Rs 45 per liter and that of buffalo milk from Rs 47 to Rs 55 per liter. Apart from this, the daily wage of MNREGA has been increased to Rs 300.
