Himachal Pradesh Employees Salary: Government employees of Himachal Pradesh got their salaries late in the month of September. For the first time, the salary amount did not come into the employees’ accounts on the first date. Pensioners also had to face similar problems. Retired employees also had to wait till the 10th for pension. Concern was also being seen regarding the salary and pension received in the month of October. Now the state government has already made its stand clear.

The decision has been taken by the Finance Department after reviewing the cash flow to the government treasury. According to the decision, government employees will get their salary for the month of September on 1st October and pension on 9th October. In the month of September, the salary of government employees came on 5th September and the pension of pensioners came on 10th September.

State government is making claims to establish balance

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh said that efforts are being made to reduce the imbalance between the funds coming to the state government and the expenditure and that the loan should be taken at the right time. There should be minimal expenditure on interest paid on the loan. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had clarified in the monsoon session of the Assembly that the financial situation will be assessed for the salary for the month of September. After assessing the financial situation, a decision will be taken on September 28 or 29.

Rs 740 crore as share in central taxes

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had told that the state receives Revenue Deficit Grant – RDG from the Central Government on the 6th of every month. Apart from this, on the 10th of every month, Rs 740 crore comes as the state’s share in central taxes. To pay salaries to employees and pension to pensioners, the state government has to take a loan at an interest rate of 7.5 percent. With this, the state government will save Rs 3 crore every month and Rs 36 crore every year.
