Five days after coming out of jail, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is going to chair a meeting of the All India Alliance MLAs today. This information has been given by the MLAs of the alliance.
Soren, the working president of the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), was released from jail on June 28. The High Court had granted him bail in the money laundering case linked to the land scam.
“In view of the Jharkhand assembly elections, our party had asked us to attend the India Block MLAs’ meeting on Wednesday,” a Congress MLA said on condition of anonymity. The MLA said the meeting was important as the alliance needs to chalk out its strategy for the elections later this year.
There can also be discussion about leadership in the state
JMM minister Mithilesh Kumar also said that the meeting has been called to discuss the strategies for the upcoming assembly elections. There is also talk that the issue of leadership in the state will also be discussed in the meeting. After the arrest of Hemant Soren by the ED, his close aide Champai Soren was given the command of the state.
Apart from Chief Minister Champai Soren, Hemant Soren’s brother and minister Basant Soren and wife Kalpana Soren are also likely to attend the meeting.

He had said that the alliance of opposition parties – INDIA will oust the BJP from power across the country. Addressing a rally in Sahibganj, Jharkhand on the occasion of Hul Diwas, Soren had said that there is panic in the BJP camp after his release. BJP leaders are once again ‘conspiring’ against him.
