Heat in the plains of Uttarakhand, children are falling sick, Health Department issued advisory

Uttarakhand Weather: As soon as April started, the sun started blazing, since then the heat is increasing day by day. The heat is wreaking havoc in the plains of Uttarakhand, due to which everyone, be it children or the elderly, needs to take special care of their health. Due to the increasing heat, there is a lack of water in the body, due to which the body becomes dehydrated.

Due to increasing heat, small children are suffering from dehydration, dysentery, diarrhea and food poisoning, due to which the family members are making rounds of the government and private hospitals of Udham Singh Nagar district from morning to evening for treatment. At the same time, the health department is also continuously issuing advisories and appealing people not to leave the house unnecessarily in the summer season.

Risk of diseases increases in children
Senior pediatrician in Udham Singh Nagar district, Dr. RK Dubey said that with the increase in heat, the risk of dehydration, dysentery, diarrhea, food poisoning and many other diseases increases in children. This year, due to severe heat, more children have suffered from these diseases. We always appeal to the families of sick children to let the children go out of the house as little as possible during the summer season, so that children can avoid heat wave and fall ill less often. 

He said that to save children from heat, they should consume as much liquid as possible so that there is no shortage of water in children. By not having shortage of water, children can be saved from the heat. It is important for children younger than nine months to breastfeed from their mother from time to time, by doing this children can be saved from the heat.
