Bhagwant Mann On Hathras Stampede: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed grief over the deaths in the stampede during the satsang in Hathras, UP. He expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

CM Bhagwant Mann wrote on Twitter, “Received the sad news of the death of pilgrims due to stampede during a satsang in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh… I pray to God to give peace to the souls of the pilgrims who lost their lives in this tragic incident and give strength to their families to bear the loss… I also wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Let us tell you that so far 116 people have died in this incident. According to news agency PTI, a stampede occurred on Tuesday at a satsang organized in Sikandrarao area of ​​Hathras district due to the rush among the followers to see preacher Bhole Baba and the ground there being muddy and slippery. An eyewitness gave information about this.

A woman who had come from Jaipur with her family to attend the satsang told at the post-mortem house in Etah that after the completion of the satsang, people started coming out suddenly, which led to a stampede. Another eyewitness told, “We had left the place even before the Sadbhavana program ended. The program started at around 11.30 am. This incident happened due to the jostling. According to the people present at the spot, the arrangements there were inadequate.”

Eyewitness Sonu Kumar said, “Water tanks and rainwater had filled the nearby drains, making the surface slippery.” Sonu said, “When Guruji left the place after about one and a half hours, devotees suddenly ran after him to touch his feet. As soon as his car left, devotees could be seen bowing down to the ground.”

Sonu Kumar said, “After this, when people returned, they suddenly fell on each other due to the slippery ground.” He said that there was a crowd of at least 10,000 people there.
