Israel-Hezbollah Conflict History: Israel has achieved a huge success by eliminating the powerful leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah. However, the Israeli Defense Force did not achieve this success in a day. For this Israel took the help of spy agencies. Which started in the year 2006.
Before killing Nasrallah, Israel had informed America about this. However, President Joe Biden had clearly denied this. He had said that doing so would trigger a regional war, but Israel knew that if this was not done then Hezbollah would prove to be a headache for them.
Along with Nasrallah, his daughter and Hezbollah commander also became targets.
Immediately after sharing the information with America, Israel, without any delay, killed Hassan Nasrallah by dropping more than 80 bombs from a fighter jet on the four-storey building of Hezbollah’s headquarters in Lebanon. However, this time Israel did not give any information related to the first attack to America. Along with this, the Israeli army killed many more commanders of Hezbollah, including Nasrallah’s daughter.
Israel got big success after 18 years
According to the New York Times report, Israel had become aware that Nasrallah had reached a bunker in Beirut to meet some of his top lieutenants. To get concrete news about this, Israel took the help of its intelligence agency. Which he had employed since 2006 only for this work.
This means that Israel was successful in ending the terrorism of Hezbollah after 18 years. They also knew that after the war against Hamas started in the year 2023, Hezbollah would attack them. His words proved to be true and terrorists had carried out several attacks in support of Hamas from the northern Lebanon border, but this time Israel did not want to take the risk. Because of this, without telling anything to America, based on their secret information, they rained death on Nasrallah’s hideouts.
How did Israel prepare to destroy Hezbollah?
The Israeli intelligence agency worked day and night to gather information against Hezbollah after the 2006 war with the Iran-backed terrorist group. For this, Israel spent several years further strengthening the Mossad, which was already the world’s best intelligence gatherer.
Under this, Israel’s Signal Intelligence Agency Unit 8200 created state-of-the-art cyber equipment to better intercept Hezbollah’s cell phones and other devices. New teams were formed within the combat ranks to ensure that valuable information was quickly passed on to the troops and air force.
