Shares of HAL surged over 6% on Tuesday’s trade. The stock climbed 4% in early trade upon receiving a Request for Proposal (RFP) from the Defence Ministry for the procurement of 156 Light Combat Helicopters. Of these, 90 are for the Indian Army and 66 for the Indian Air Force.
