Gurugram News Today: The Central Investigation Agency CBI is in action mode to curb cyber fraud. In this sequence, CBI has arrested 43 cyber fraudsters under Operation Chakra-2. All these cyber fraudsters used to operate a call center in Gurugram and from here they used to commit fraud with foreign citizens online.

The CBI started this action in the year 2022 to destroy the network of cyber financial crime running in the country. The CBI has been successful in stopping this cyber gang with complete success. The CBI has carried out this action with the help of agencies of many countries like FBI and Interpol.

Raids at 7 places in Delhi-Gurugram
This is an international cyber fraud syndicate that commits online crimes. The CBI had registered a case in this matter on 22 July 2024 and started investigation to uncover this fraud.

During the investigation of this case, CBI raided 7 locations in the capital Delhi and Cyber ​​City Gurugram. After investigation, it was revealed that cyber fraud was being carried out from DLF Gurugram. It was being operated from a call center located in DLF Gurugram.

They used to cheat by sending pop ups
To carry out the crime, the accused used to send a pop-up on people’s computers and ask them to download suspicious software. After this, they used to get money transferred in the name of restoring their system. The CBI has so far arrested 43 cyber thugs in this case.

Things recovered by CBI
During this operation, CBI has recovered 130 computer hard disks, 65 mobile phones and 5 laptops from the possession of cyber thugs. Apart from this, a large number of victims’ information, documents, call recordings and transcripts have been recovered. Investigation has revealed that the money earned from cyber crime was sent from many countries to Hong Kong.
