Guru Purnima 2024: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who reached village Poonchri of Deeg district, will stay overnight at Lauta Guest House. Tomorrow on Sunday, on Guru Purnima (Guru Purnima 2024), the Chief Minister will participate in the local program from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. After participating in the local program, he will leave for Sevar Bharatpur at 9:40 am. After reaching Sevar Bharatpur, the Chief Minister will go to Bada Hanuman Temple located at Ludhavai. Chief Minister Sharma will reach Poonchri’s Lauta at 1:45 pm.
After paying obeisance at the Shrinath temple, the Chief Minister will be a part of the local program from noon to 6 pm. The Parikrama route is about one and a half kilometer long in the Poonchri Lauta of Giriraj ji located in Govardhan, Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has special faith in Giriraj ji. Before becoming the Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma used to go to Govardhan every month for the Parikrama of Giriraj ji. He also used to organize a feast for the devotees in the Govardhan Lakkhi fair held every year on Guru Purnima.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s program on Guru Purnima
Lakhs of devotees from different states of the country reach Lakkhi Mela on Guru Purnima. The circumambulation of Giriraj ji is about 21 kilometers. A feast has been organized by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at Poonchri’s Lautha. In Deeg district, the ponds have been barricaded for the safety of the devotees on the Parikrama route. Mudia Purnima Mela has started in Poonchri, Deeg from May 17.
Fountains were installed for the convenience of the devotees
Fountains have been installed in the pond situated at Parikrama on the lines of Mansi Ganga for the convenience of the devotees. For security reasons, the entire fair area has been put under CCTV surveillance. The district administration has deployed 300 policemen. 1.2 km of the seven kos Parikrama route falls in Poonchri ka Lota. The control room is monitoring the situation 24 hours a day. Collector Deeg Shruti Bhardwaj and Superintendent of Police Rajesh Meena are monitoring the area.
A glimpse of Braj culture is being shown
A grand cultural program has been organized in Poonchri from 18th July to 21st July under the joint aegis of Tourism Department and District Administration Deeg. Under the programs, grand presentation of Shehnai Vadan, Kachhi Ghori Dance, Mayur Dance, Holi of Flowers, Folk Songs, Chari Dance, Bhavai Dance, Charkula Dance, Kalbelia Dance, Bam Vadan and Langa Vadan are being given. Devotees are seen dancing and singing to the tune of Dhol and Mridang. The welcome gates have been decorated with flowers. At night, the Poonchri Parikrama Marg blossoms with bright lights. Resting places and free reception rooms have been arranged at various places in the Parikrama area.
