Three children, including a brother and a sister, playing there, died tragically when the wall of an under-construction house collapsed in village Khodna Kalan of Thana Surajpur area on Friday night. The deceased include Ahad (4), his sister Alfiza (2) and Adil (8). Five other children were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the hospital. These children had come to their maternal grandparents’ place two days ago to celebrate holidays. There was chaos in the area after the incident. Police and rescue team reached the spot. Five children are admitted to the hospital. Their condition is said to be out of danger. It is believed that the accident happened after the rain on Friday morning. The fire brigade personnel and rescue team present at the spot are removing the debris. Police force has been deployed at the spot.
Sagir, a resident of Khodna Kala, runs a general store in Bhangel. Sagir is getting a house constructed in the village itself. Two days ago, Sagir’s daughters Shabnam, who lives in Delhi, and Nisar, who lives in Luharli, Dadri, had come to their maternal home along with their children. The deceased children include Shabnam’s son Ahad and daughter Alfiza. On Friday night, all the children of Sagir’s family were playing near the under-construction house.
Meanwhile, at around 7 o’clock, the roof and wall of the second floor collapsed. About eight children were buried under its debris. After the accident, all the children were taken to a nearby private hospital. Here, three children Ahad, Alfiza and Adil were declared dead by the doctors. The children injured in the accident include Ayesha (16), Hussain (5), Sohna (12), Wasil (11), Sameer (15). Police force is deployed on the spot after the accident. DCP Central Suniti said that the house of a person named Sagir was being built. The roof of this house also collapsed and the wall also fell. It had rained here two hours ago. It is likely that this is the reason for the accident. The condition of all the injured is out of danger.
