Gorakhpur News: Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University’s Research Eligibility Test (RET) 2023 will be held on 29 and 30 July at 9 centers located on the campus. Only the candidates will be allowed to enter the campus. On Monday, 3,668 candidates of 23 subjects will appear for the examination. Tight arrangements have been made to maintain the sanctity of the examination.

Giving this information, DDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon said that 1633 candidates are registered for 10 subjects in the morning shift on Monday, while 2035 registered candidates for 13 subjects will appear in the examination in the evening shift. A total of 897 candidates for 13 subjects will appear in the examination on Tuesday. This examination was conducted in the year 2023 but it was canceled after complaints of technical glitches like same roll number and disorder in the examination.

This time the university administration is taking a sensitive and strict approach so that the examinations are conducted in a fair manner. In view of this, the administration has declared a holiday on the campus on Monday. Chief Controller Prof. Satish Chandra Pandey has instructed all the candidates to park their vehicles only at the stand located at the main gate. Carrying any kind of digital device including mobile, bag, smart watch, watch, calculator to the examination center is completely prohibited.

The process of online counselling for admission in M.Ed, B.P.Ed and PG Diploma in Guidance and Counselling has started in the university. This process will continue till 30th July. The admission process has also started in all PG and diploma courses in which entrance exams were not conducted. Out of 536 candidates registered in these courses, 71 have also deposited the fee. Such candidates will appear in the respective departments from 1st August for verification of certificates.

In view of the increasing importance of Jyotish, Vastu and Ritual in the present times and its necessity in the JCU examination in the army, the Sanskrit Department, like other years, has started the admission process this year as well, providing the opportunity of quality education in the subjects of Jyotish Vastu and Ritual. Candidates who have not applied online for admission will be given an opportunity to participate in the admission process again. Dean Arts Faculty and Head Sanskrit Department Prof. Kirti Pandey said that interested candidates who have not been able to apply online will be included in the admission process by giving them an opportunity to apply again. Candidates interested in admission can contact the course coordinator Dr. Devendra Pal in the Sanskrit Department.
