Gorakhpur News: In the meeting of Mutawalli Action Committee in Gorakhpur, senior counselor Khairul Bashar said that the police needs to be alert to deal with the antisocial elements who create disturbance during Muharram. He said that the Mutawallis of Muharram procession have always supported the administration and followed the government guidelines. Bashar said that the Muharram procession will be taken out according to the route map. City Kotwal Vijay Kumar Singh, who was present in the meeting, said that the procession should be taken out according to the old tradition and on the guidelines of the police and administration regarding Muharram.
In Gorakhpur, a meeting of Imam Chowk Mutawalli Action Committee regarding Muharram was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of committee president Abdullah. People’s representatives and dignitaries of the area participated in it. On this occasion, it was unanimously decided to celebrate Muharram festival with mutual harmony. An appeal was made to maintain social harmony during Muharram and to provide adequate cooperation to the administration.
‘Strict vigil on the security of procession and Tajia’
Addressing the meeting, Station In-charge Rajkumari Shukla of Tiwaripur police station said that keeping Muharram in mind, the police system is fully prepared for the procession. She has appealed to take many precautions including not posting misleading posts on social media. In the meeting, Station In-charge of Rajghat police station Ityanand Pandey said that with the cooperation of police and administration, there will be strict security guard on the procession and Tazia regarding Muharram. He said that Muharram processions will be taken out as per the old tradition with the cooperation of everyone.
On this occasion, committee convener Haji Kaleem Ahmed Farzand said that people who follow Islam consider Muharram as a month of sorrow. Muharram is celebrated 20 days after Bakrid. Committee secretary Shakeel Ahmed Ansari said that the month of Muharram is very important for people who follow Islam because Hazrat Imam Hussain was martyred in this month. On this occasion, senior social worker Shamshad Alam Rain said that the festival of Muharram is celebrated in the memory of Hazrat Imam Hussain.
‘Do not post misleading posts on social media’
Celebrate this festival in a peaceful environment. Senior social worker Muhammad Asim Khan said that Hazrat Imam Hussain was the grandson of Hazrat Mohammad Saheb, the founder of Islam. A procession is taken out in the month of Muharram to commemorate his martyrdom. Committee president Abdullah said that the meeting was held keeping in mind the procession of Alam and Tazia taken out on Muharram. He said that misleading posts should not be posted on social media.
