Pankaj Chaudhary, who reached the House after being elected MP for the seventh time from Maharajganj in UP, defeated the alliance’s Congress candidate and Farenda MLA Virendra Chaudhary by a margin of 35,451 votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Pankaj Chaudhary got 5 lakh 91 thousand 310 votes and Virendra Chaudhary got 5 lakh 55 thousand 859 votes. Pankaj Chaudhary has contested the MP election 9 times. He has won for the seventh time. Pankaj Chaudhary started his political career as a councilor in Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation. After this he was elected Mayor of Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation. In 1991, he became an MP for the first time on the BJP symbol.

He studied till intermediate from Shivpati Inter College Shahratgarh Siddharthnagar. His father’s name was late Bhagwati Prasad. Kamlesh Paswan, who has been elected as MP for the fourth time in a row from Bansgaon (reserved) Lok Sabha constituency of Gorakhpur district, has been made the Minister of State for Rural Development for the first time by the central leadership. 47-year-old Kamlesh Paswan was born on 6 August 1976. In the affidavit filed with the Election Commission, he has mentioned that he completed his graduation from Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University. His father late Om Prakash Paswan has been an MLA. Kamlesh Paswan became MLA for the first time in 2002 by winning from Maniram assembly seat on SP ticket.

After this, in the 2009 elections, he contested for the first time from Bansgaon Lok Sabha seat on a BJP ticket. Lok Sabha Elections He fought and won and raised the flag of BJP. After this, he also won the elections of 2014 and 2019. In the 2024 elections, he defeated his nearest rival alliance Congress candidate Sadal Prasad by 3150 votes. Kamlesh Paswan got 4 lakh 28 thousand 693 votes and Sadal Prasad got 4 lakh 25 thousand 543 votes. Kamlesh won the trust of the top leadership by winning for the fourth consecutive time.
