Google Pixel 8 to be manufactured soon in India

American technology company Google’s Pixel 8 will soon be manufactured in the country. This smartphone was launched in October last year. Usually, the company’s smartphones are manufactured in China and Vietnam. The first batch of this smartphone made in the country may be available for sale in September.

A media Report In the report, quoting sources aware of the company’s plans, it has been told that Dixon Technologies will manufacture this smartphone. Trials have been started for this. Last year Google said that it plans to manufacture the Pixel 8 series in the country. This series includes Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. It has been told in this report that one lakh units of these smartphones will be manufactured in the country every month.

Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro specifications

The Pixel 8 sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the Pixel 8 Pro sports a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1344×2992 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and peak brightness of up to 2400 nits. Like the Pixel 8, the Pixel 8 Pro features Google’s non-core Tensor G3 chipset and Titan M2 security chip.

Google’s Pixel 8 Pro has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel second ultrawide camera and a third 48-megapixel quad-PD 5x zoom camera. Pixel 8 has a 50-megapixel octa-PD primary camera and a 12-megapixel macro camera. Both these smartphones have a 10.5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Pixel 8’s 4,575 mAh battery supports 27 W fast charging. Pixel 8 Pro has a 5,050 mAh battery with support for 30 W fast charging. The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant of Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 in the country and the 256 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 82,999. It has been made available in Hazel, Obsidian and Rose colors. The 12 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant of Pixel 8 Pro is priced at Rs 1,06,999. It is available in Bay, Obsidian and Porcelain colours.
