New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has not been able to return to India after winning the ICC T20 World Cup. The final was played between India and South Africa in Barbados on Saturday. The team led by Rohit Sharma won the trophy in a thrilling match that went on till the last over. After this match, the Indian team was stuck in the hotel in Barbados due to bad weather and the devastation caused by the cyclone. Now the weather is better than before and Team India is going to return to India with the trophy. The players of the Indian team will reach New Delhi on Wednesday evening.

World champion is coming to India
BCCI is waiting for a chartered plane for the players of the Indian team. According to the information, the flight carrying the players will take off on Tuesday morning at 6 am local time. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah is also with the Indian team. A special chartered plane from Barbados carrying the entire Indian team will reach Delhi at 7.45 pm on Wednesday.

Indian fans have been waiting for their champion team since the ICC T20 World Cup victory. Lockdown-like conditions had arisen in Barbados, which has a population of about three lakhs, since Sunday evening. Due to bad weather, the main international airport was closed till further notice. On Monday, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley had said that efforts are being made to open the airport in the next 12 hours. In the last three days, high alert was declared in the entire city due to the cyclone. The members of the Indian team were also locked in their rooms in a five-star hotel in Barbados.
