New Delhi. The Indian team has left for home from Barbados after the storm subsided. Team India, which won the T20 World Cup on Saturday, left for India from Bridgetown after a long wait of four days. The world champion Indian team led by Rohit Sharma will reach Delhi at 6 am on Thursday. The players and staff of the team will go directly from the airport to ITC Maurya Hotel. After this, the players will meet PM Narendra Modi.

The champion players will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 11 am at the PM residence. After meeting PM Modi, the cricket team will leave directly for Mumbai. After reaching Mumbai, the victorious Indian team will take out a victory march. The victory march will be from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium.

India won the T20 World Cup trophy by defeating South Africa on 29 June. Since then, Indian fans are eager to welcome their champion team. But the storm Beryl in Barbados made the wait for the Indian team to return home longer.

Due to this, the Indian cricket team remained stuck in Barbados ever since it became the world champion.
