Theft of Goddess Kali’s crown: The chief priest and temple staff are under suspicion in the case of theft of the gold crown of Goddess Kali in Bangladesh. The interim government of Bangladesh claimed that the investigation into the case is ongoing and four people have been arrested so far.

The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on October 12, “We have expressed grave concern over the attack on the puja temple in Tantibazar, Dhaka and the incident of theft at the iconic Jeshoreshwari Kali temple in Satkhira. These are condemnable incidents. These are desecration of temples and deities. “This is the continuation of a systematic trend of doing and causing harm which we have been witnessing for the past several days.”
