The government believes that India can get it out of this crisis. Under the new scheme, the German government wants to employ more Indian workers to deal with the labour shortage. Regarding this, Labour Minister Hubertus Heil said that all efforts are being made to meet the requirement of skilled labour. Now a new scheme is being worked on, under which a large number of skilled workers will be employed from India.
Talks begin with Indian students
According to the news portal Schengen, Labor Minister Hubertus Heil also interacted with Indian students at the University of Berlin. He said that many officials are working in this regard. Soon, talks will also be started between the German and Indian governments. During the conversation with the Indian students, Heil also informed about the challenges of Germany’s labor market.
70 lakh workers are needed
The Labor Minister said that the doors will remain open for skilled workers in Germany in the future as well. Referring to the report of the Institute for Employment Research, Heil said that Germany will need 70 lakh workers by 2035. Germany is facing a shortage of workers in more than 70 occupations. The most affected sectors are transport, manufacturing, construction, healthcare, engineering and IT. At the same time, many changes have been made in recent months, which has made it easier for workers here. Foreign workers with EU Blue Card will also get permission to work in the country with the ability to stay for three years. Preparations are being made to provide many other facilities.
