Who will open in place of Rohit?
Regarding whether captain Rohit Sharma will play in the first test match or not, he said, we are hopeful that he will play but nothing has been decided regarding this yet. This will be known just before the first match to be held in Perth. In case he does not play, we have Abhimanyu Easwaran and KL Rahul present in Australia. A decision will be taken on playing any of these two in the opening.

Bumrah will captain
While talking about captaincy against Australia, coach Gautam Gambhir said that there is no need to think anything on this question. He said, Jasprit Bumrah is the vice captain of our team. If Rohit Sharma does not play in the first test match, he will captain the Indian team.
