Gambling racket busted in Kotla Mubarakpur Delhi police arrested 25 gamblers ANN

Gambling racket busted in Delhi: South Delhi’s Special Staff Police has busted a gambling racket and arrested 25 gamblers including the kingpin. Rs 116700 cash and playing cards staked at stake have been recovered from the spot.

The accused arrested in this case have been identified as Madan Sharma alias Dinu (kingpin), Rajkumar, Abhishek, Vishal, Rakesh, Vijay, Naresh, Rahul, Wasim, Chandrashekhar, Gopal, Sonu, Ritesh, Vishal, Rakesh, Ashwani, Sachin, Omprakash, Mohit, Manoj, Pawan, Pawan, Prem Sunar, Sonu, Tushant and Rahul.

Information was received about a gambling racket running
DCP Ankit Chauhan said that in view of the increasing organized crime in the district, the Special Staff Police was given the responsibility to find out about the gambling racket active in the district and curb it. The Special Staff Police collected some important information using human information systems. Which was further analyzed technically. Due to which, on the intervening night of 14-15 June, the police got a specific information related to the gambling racket. In which they came to know that a gambling racket is being run in a house in Kotla Mubarakpur.

Gambling racket busted after raid in Wazirnagar
Responding to this specific information, a raiding team comprising of SI Deepak Yadav, Dinesh, ASI Sanjay Kumar, Head Constable Narendra, Rakesh, Krishna Kumar, Sandeep, Constable Ashok Kumar and Koichung was formed under the supervision of ACP Operations and in-charge of Special Staff. Based on information received from sources, the police team raided the house in Wazirnagar and arrested a total of 25 gamblers involved in gambling including the kingpin of the gambling racket.

Money and playing cards recovered from the spot
The police recovered about Rs 1 lakh 17 thousand and 18 packets of playing cards from the spot. In this case, the police have registered a case under the Gambling Act and arrested all the accused and have started further investigation.
