New Delhi. After becoming the IPL champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders players are celebrating a lot. Especially KKR captain Shreyas Iyer is not leaving the IPL trophy. Iyer got himself photographed in his bedroom with the IPL trophy in the style of Lionel Messi. He did not stop here and shared a similar picture from the pool as well. Shreyas Iyer, who credited Shah Rukh Khan for the victory, also sent a special message to his father.
Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL trophy on Sunday by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad badly. They achieved the target in just 10.3 overs by bowling out Hyderabad for 113 runs. This is the third time that KKR has won the IPL title. KKR team has been the champion in 2012 and 2014 as well.
Shreyas Iyer shared a post on Instagram on Monday, in which he is seen posing in the pool with the IPL trophy. He wrote with this post, ‘I take you wherever I go.’
Shreyas Iyer had earlier posed for a picture sleeping with the IPL trophy. This picture was inspired by Lionel Messi’s celebration. Argentina’s Lionel Messi had posed for a picture in the same style after winning the FIFA World Cup.
Shreyas Iyer has posted a photo with his family after winning the IPL. He wrote with this post, ‘All this is for my family. I am bringing the trophy home for you too, Papa.’
Shreyas Iyer has also shared a photo with KKR owner Shahrukh Khan. In this, he described Shahrukh as the heartbeat of the team and thanked him for his inspiration and encouragement.
